Polished Eclecticism is the creative approach Oriana B prides itself on. To us, it is an amalgam of collected, curated and modern design elements brought to our clients through contemporary and historically influenced furnishings. This design concept was developed from an unyielding vision to combine elements from movements close to our hearts, in our aspiration towards enduring homes with characteristic atmospheres. This mixture of design periods, patterns and rich colour palettes cultivates joyful while comfortable spaces.
Historical Influences
Our contemporary practice is heavily influenced by historical interiors movements including Art Deco, Bauhaus and Mid-Century design features. Art Deco style comprises symmetrical, geometric shaped and streamlined architectural designs with rich coloured and patterned interiors. This school of thought was a modern design thinking that incorporated functionality with form, introducing decorative motifs to functioning interiors and objects. We look to this inspiring era and its legacy in developing an ethos of egalitarian designed interiors and furniture when bringing a touch of elegance to our clients.
The influence of Mid-Century design in our practice appears in the form of clean lined forms and organic inspired shapes. The key motivation of this design thinking aligns with our motivations to produce beautiful, longstanding and multi-use furniture. The influences of this refined style with warm natural materials are ever present within our design process.

Colour, Pattern, Texture
An eclectic while polished design utilises strong, warm colour palettes, opting for pops of complimentary colours across a interiors space. This stylistic choice of bold hues comes back to our appreciation towards the characteristic palettes of past interior movements. It is through Bauhaus inspired designs that the use of primary colours emerges in our designs. These prominent pigmented tones become apparent when they are paired with neutral organic wallpapers or as a considered approach to framing an entrance hallway area. Saturated colours materialise across patterned details in our interiors. Contrasting and warm toned tiled feature walls or soft material accessories bring balance, symmetry and depth to our striking designs.
Natural tones within our original furniture line, bring warmth to the texture of any room or fit out. This is evident in our first furniture collection OB Design Collection Edition 01. We have developed unique multi-functional pieces purpose-built for Irish homes, catering to the wide range of needs of our clients. Through this debut furniture collection we pay homage to the layered history of design.
