A crown imperial flower in warm Art Nouveau ornament.

This design of the crown imperial is the work of French artist Maurice Pillard Verneuil, published in 1896 in La Plante et ses Applications Ornementales. Its warm tones and layered decorative borders recall the Arts and Crafts interiors of the day. In its gold frame it sits beautifully in a bedroom or a small hallway.
